Until June 30, 2024, the annual nominal rate of compensatory interest for financing from financial entities in pesos will be 120% of the last published Monetary Policy rate.

BCRA modifies the minimum rate for financing soybean producers

The minimum rate for financing soybean producersaccording to Communication “A” 7930 of the Central Bank (BCRA) be 20% higher than that of POLMON (Passive Passes) which is located at 100% TNA.

This is how the monetary entity describes the changes: “Until 6/30/24, the annual nominal rate of compensatory interest on financing from financial entities in pesos – whatever the form of instrumentation – to clients with agricultural activity registered in the Simplified Agricultural Information System (SISA) as “Producer” with collection of their production soy, It will be at least 120% of the last published Monetary Policy rate“.

It was also explained that is excepted From the above, those cases of clients whose total amount of financing in the financial systemconsidering the requested financing (measured in terms of monthly consolidation), does not exceed the amount equivalent to $3 million – in pesos and foreign currency -, and/or who prove that they do not have a stock of their soybean production greater than 5% of their annual harvest capacity.
