The acting Attorney General of the Nation, Eduardo Casalruled this Monday in favor of the Supreme Court of Justice intervening in the amparo presented by the governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintelaagainst the DNU promoted by the National Government.

The presentation was in the middle of the judicial fair and therefore, Casal ruled that the case falls under the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Justice.

The ruling is not binding and now the Court will analyze the case starting in February, although it has no established deadlines or definition in this regard, since it is a topic under discussion even in the National Congress.

“In my opinion, given the nature of the parties that must intervene in the lawsuit, the case corresponds to the original jurisdiction of the Court,” Casal maintained in the opinion that he is not obliged to share the Court although he had already stated that they are the ones who must resolve Governor Quintela’s proposal.

“Consequently, I believe that the process should be processed before the Court,” Casal concluded.

The Court had already anticipated that since it is a lawsuit from a provincial State against the Nation, it is the original jurisdiction of the Court and that is why it will resolve it although the timing is not exact.

While in lower courts there is a flood of claims against Milei’s DNU will be the Court that has the last word either by appeal from one of the parties.
