Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea
has reportedly stalled on signing new contract at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old has been superb for the Red Devils since he joined them in the summer of 2011 from Atletico Madrid.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid twice – and on both occasions the move has failed to pull through.
However, Express news report that the Spaniard wants an improved deal before extending his stay with the EPL side.

The publication reveals that the shot-stopper currently earns £175,000 a week, but wants to be among top earners with at least £300,000 a week in the bag.
Chile forward Sanchez penned a deal valued around £500,000 a week with add ons and is the highest paid player in English football since his move to Old Trafford from Arsenal in January.
He was superb for his side in their 2-1 come back win over Bournemouth in last weekend’s at Dean Court.

“It was a first half that could, should be, game over, 5-2, 6-2 easily, and in the second half until we scored I had the feeling we were a very unlucky team because we should score three, four, five goals.
“We were really poor, defensively awful. And I do not just look to my defenders, as a team we did not start pressing up, the work we did during the week.
“People watching this game will not believe how hard we worked this week. The first half was a disaster.
“It is what we call a game of two halves. In the first half, Bournemouth were by far the best team and in the second half we were the best team by far.
“We have fantastic character and the heart that any result, the game is not over and we go until the end.
I am trying to find the balance where we develop the team in the second, third phase of attack. When we are in control we have no problems, but when the opponent is in control we do.”
And Mourinho, earlier last week, admitted he was not confident of De Gea signing a new deal.
A claim that is believed to have confused De Gea and his people because of his happiness at the club.
“I am not confident,” he told Sky Sports.

“I cannot find the word in English, but let’s see what happens. Only the club, David and his people can answer that.
“My comment is only that everyone knows how good he is, how important he is for Manchester United and, if the club want to be better than it is and not worse, obviously it would be very important to keep David.”
Those comments after believed to have baffled De Gea who is happy at the club.
Mourinho also urged Martial to pen a new deal after his upturn in form.
“I don’t belong to the discussions of contracts,” Mourinho said.

“I don’t even know their contracts in the sense of numbers and I’m really happy with that – to not have to participate in these types of discussions.
“Obviously I hope we will agree. He is a talented player – everybody has known that since he was at Monaco.
“Another thing is a talented player with consistency and understanding what a football match is in the globality.
“When you reach that level or are almost reaching that level is when you become a top player. One thing is a top talent, another thing is a top player.

“When he is now much closer to becoming a top player, obviously I would like him to stay. I know the club very much wants him to stay so hopefully he is going to stay.”
Tribal Football quoting the Telegraph, the Red Devils chiefs held discussions with De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendes on Friday, in London, in an attempt to sort out the future of La Roja’s No 1 goalkeeper.
However, at the end of the parley both parties could not strike a deal, suggesting, that the highly-gifted shot-stopper, is free to quit Old Trafford for free when his current contract comes to an end.
